to start the conversation.
In 10 years of directing children’s ministry, many parents would ask me how to have engaging spiritual conversations at home. Families also want to connect in authentic, playful ways without relying on screen time for their family quality time.
When I was postpartum with my first child, I was craving more structure to my days while also having a hard time implementing the spiritual habits I had established before motherhood.
THAT’S WHEN I KNEW SOMETHING HAD TO CHANGE
I tried waking up before my child to read my Bible. He always got up before me.
I tried planning bible lessons for our days together, but I’d be too tired the night before to set anything up.
It just wasn’t cutting it.
With a decade of experience as an Executive Assistant in healthcare, I learned to create simple, practical systems that actually stick in a high-stress environment.
So guess what I did?
I STARTED HABIT-STACKING SPIRITUAL CONVERSATIONS WITH OUR DAILY RHYTHMS.
And it worked!
I’ve always been drawn to teaching children
from being a camp counselor in my youth
to building a children’s ministry at our local church.
In all these seasons, I learned to
engage with kids at their developmental level,
bring tons of fun into ordinary moments, &
empower parents to continue strong habits at home.
And now as a mom,
I’ve learned
what works & what doesn’t.
